Music is an important part of our of our worship at First Congregational UCC in Anoka. We are blessed with a variety of strong musical talents which are shared through our Chancel Choir, special music presentations, and enthusiastic hymn singing. We cherish both exquisite organ classics and string band ballads.
Our Chancel Choir sings on the first and third Sundays of every month (September through May) as well as major presentations at Christmas and Easter. Rehearsal is each Wednesday evening at 7:30 pm. All that is required is that you love to sing. You don’t have to be a great singer or read music well or at all. The choir is a musical family who laughs, cries, sings and prays together in addition to singing a great variety of music. Why not come and join us?

Special music featuring instrumentalists and soloists fill the sanctuary with beautiful melodies and familiar hymns and is a meaningful part of our worship, drawing both from the considerable talents of the church members and the wider community as well. One of our popular special music features is our string band; If you are attending one of the social functions at the church, you might have the pleasure to hear them, this group of musicians from our church will surely get your feet tapping or hands clapping. Contact Don Shier if you’d like to participate in special music.
